What to Look For When Collecting Vintage Passports?
There are several factors to consider when collecting vintage passports, including the age of the passport, the country of origin, and the condition of the document. The older the passport, the more valuable it is, is NOT a rule! Passports from countries that no longer exist, or that have undergone significant political changes, are also highly sought after by collectors.
It’s also important to consider the content of the passport. Some documents contain stamps and visas from countries that are difficult to obtain or no longer exist, making them particularly valuable. Others may have unique features such as watermarks, holograms, or other security features that were used at the time of issuance.
