Around 30,000 Jewish refugees during World War II found refuge in Switzerland. Thousands of Jewish men, women and children were ruthless dismissed. For most, this meant certain death. This documentation was made by the Swiss Television in 1994 – a highly interesting report!

Heinrich Rothmund, Chief of the Swiss Police was asking the Germans for an example how the “mark” would look like – and he became a passport with a big red J! (video at position 9:28) However you hear a statement from a researcher that the Swiss Immigration documents were asking for the “race” of foreigners at that time.
